FAQ

Frequent asked questions

General questions:

  • Do I need to install Mailpro™
No, Mailpro™ is an online application, nothing is installed on your computer. Whether you're on Mac, Windows or Linux you can use Mailpro™.
  • What do I need to use Mailpro™?
You need an Internet connection and a browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Google Chrome, ...).
  • Can I create my own newsletter by myself?
In fact, you have approximately 300 templates of newsletters and about 25 layouts to produce professional newsletters. We also invite you to visit our Emailing Blog and check the advice for the creation, sending, frequency and best practices of emailing in general.
  • What are the accounts that you are proposing and how do they work?
There are 2 types of accounts:

    Consumer accounts
The consumption mode works like the prepaid mobile phone system. You buy credits, 1 credit = 1 email sent to a recipient. Once the funds have been used, if you want to send emails you must buy credits.

    Subscription accounts
You pay for one year. The subscription includes a certain number of credits (1 credit = 1 email sent to one recipient) per month. Unused credits are not carried over the next month.

Both types of accounts give you access to all the features of Mailpro™, Address Book with unlimited entries, statistics on shipments, openings and clicks, duplicate management, management of badmails, etc…
  • Do you have a demo version?
Yes, you can test Mailpro™, for free, with 100 credits. These free accounts include advertising from Mailpro™ in your emails. The ad will be removed as soon as you purchase Mailpro™ credits. The 100 credits offered correspond to 100 sendings (1 credit = 1 sending).
  • Is there a blog dedicated to emailing?
Yes, we have a partner who runs a blog dedicated entirely to emailing and you will find very interesting information and tips. You can get there via this link www.emailingblog.com.
  • Is Mailpro™ compatible with all browsers?
Yes, but we encourage you to use Mozila Firefox, which currently has no known bug and is better suited for web applications. Also check that your browser has been updated to the latest version.
If you encounter a bug, you can send it via support@mailpro.com.
  • Is there a browser that is more suitable than the other?
Yes, we recommend using Mozila Firefox, which is optimized for the web applications, is more stable, faster and safer. On Mac we strongly advise using the default browser, Safari.

Questions on creating the newsletters :

  • Can I customize the messages sent by email with Mailpro™?
It is possible to import up to 25 custom fields in addition to the email address. These fields can be inserted into the subject of the email and of course in the body of the email.

You just need to write $fieldX$ where X represents the number of the field in question. For example “field2” can contain the “forename”. And if you want, when you send each message, it will be personalized with the name of the receiver.

    Just write in the message:
    Hello $field2$,
Each person will receive a message with "Hello John,".
  • Is it possible to add images in our newsletter?

You can easily integrate images in the newsletter (WYSWYG HTML editor permitted by default). Anything that can be done in an email in HTML, is feasible in Mailpro™.
  • The images inserted in our newsletter need to be hosted on your site or on our site?
Both are possible, the images are hosted at Mailpro™ (you add them via our publisher) or they can be hosted on your site (with an absolute link, http://...).
  • Can you import a PDF document when creating the newsletter?
Yes, you can import a PDF file on our servers and create a link to the PDF in your newsletter. The recipients of the email can then click on this link (text or image) and see the contents of your PDF. For reasons of file size, the PDF is not added in the message.
  • I can’t change the color of my links, is this normal?
No, this is not normal: To change the color of your links, you must assign a color to the desired text before assigning a link to it.
  • I want to delete or modify a link for unsubscription
For legal reasons, you can not change/modify/delete this link.
  • How can I make sure that my email doesn’t go directly to the SPAM folder?
To simplify, there are three types of filters, the filter on the mailing address (IP address of the SMTP server) and we guarantee that at this level, our IP are good quality ones and continuously monitored. The second is the domain name, after your first sending, you will see in the badmails if your domain is banned or not. In this case, you can contact us and we will definitely propose you to use a different domain name. The third concerns the content of your newsletter. Indeed, it is advisable not to use SPAM-words, such as "free ", "sales", %, to avoid putting too many words in bold or different fonts for example.
