Decisions based on guesswork are expensive. An online survey lets you ask the people who matter, whether they are shoppers in Accra, parents in Ho, farmers in Bono or staff across your branches, and get structured answers you can act on. Mailpro’s survey builder is designed for respondents answering on a phone, which is how most people in Ghana will see it.

Surveys that earn their keep

Customer satisfaction

Send a short customer satisfaction survey after a delivery, a bank account opening or a hotel stay. Two or three questions and one open comment box are often enough.

Market research

Testing a new product, price point or location? A market research survey sent to your existing customers can tell you whether Kumasi is ready for a second branch or which package size suits your buyers.

Education

Schools and universities use surveys for course evaluations, parent feedback and alumni tracking. See our article on education surveys for question ideas.

Staff and members

Employee engagement, training needs or association member priorities: anonymous surveys often get more honest answers than a meeting.

Getting responses in Ghana

  • Keep it short. Respondents on mobile data will drop off a long survey.
  • Send it where people are. Email to subscribers, SMS with a short link, or WhatsApp. Mailpro lets you share surveys by link, QR code or embed.
  • Time it well. Avoid major holidays such as Christmas or Eid, and send during the working day, GMT.
  • Explain why. One line at the top saying how you will use the answers improves completion.

Question ideas for Ghanaian organisations

  • Retail: Which payment method do you prefer: mobile money, card or cash on delivery?
  • Banking: How easy was it to open your account, on a scale of 1 to 5?
  • Education: How useful did you find this term’s parent-teacher meeting?
  • Hospitality: How did you hear about our hotel?
  • Agribusiness: Which inputs do you need before the next planting season?

Keep the scale consistent across the survey, and always include an “other” option where your list of answers may be incomplete.

Privacy and trust

Surveys often collect personal data, so Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) applies. Tell respondents who you are and what you will do with their answers, and do not add them to marketing lists unless they separately agree. Mailpro stores responses on private Swiss infrastructure, outside US jurisdiction, and never sells or rents data.

How long should a survey be?

For customers answering on a phone, five to ten questions is a practical ceiling, and a satisfaction survey can be as short as two. Tell people up front how long it takes (“2 minutes, 5 questions”) and keep that promise. If you need more detail, run a short survey first and invite volunteers to a longer follow-up.

From answers to action

Mailpro’s survey statistics show results as they arrive, with charts per question and exportable data. Use branching logic to route respondents to relevant questions, and follow up with an email to those who asked to be contacted.
