Whether you run a guest house in Treasure Beach, a pharmacy in Spanish Town or a record label in Kingston, your newsletter has to look professional on a small screen and load quickly on a mobile connection. Mailpro gives you three ways to build one, depending on how much design or coding experience you have.

Choose your way of working

Drag and drop

The simplest option: pick blocks for text, images, buttons and social links, then arrange them. No code is needed, and the result is responsive automatically. The newsletter builder tutorial shows each step.

Start from a template

Mailpro offers more than 600 newsletter templates, including seasonal designs for Christmas, Easter and back-to-school. Replace the colours with your brand’s, or with black, green and gold for an Independence issue, and swap in your own photos.

Bring your own HTML

If your agency or web developer already has a coded design, import it and edit it. Our guide to HTML newsletters explains what works in email clients and what doesn’t.

Details that matter for Jamaican readers

  • Weight: compress images and avoid huge banners. Many readers open on mobile data, and a heavy email may not load fully.
  • Currency: state clearly whether prices are in Jamaican dollars (JMD) or US dollars, especially if you mail both island and diaspora customers.
  • Contact options: include a phone number in full +1-876 format and a WhatsApp or website link, since many Jamaican customers prefer to follow up by message or call.
  • Footer: your business name, address and an unsubscribe link. Jamaica’s Data Protection Act, 2020 requires every marketing message to identify the sender and give a way to stop receiving messages.

Make each issue personal

Insert a first name, a parish, a membership number or a last-visit date using contact fields. You can go further and show different content to different groups, for example island residents and overseas subscribers, as explained in personalised newsletters. Combine this with segmentation for campaigns that feel written for each reader.

Check, send and learn

Before sending, email a test to yourself and a colleague and open it on different phones. After sending, campaign statistics show opens, clicks and bounces, with a breakdown by country, so you can see how readers in Jamaica compare with readers abroad.
