In many Barbadian businesses, customer information is scattered. Guest details sit in the booking engine, loyalty members in a spreadsheet, corporate clients in someone’s phone and newsletter subscribers in yet another tool. A CRM brings this together so you can see who each person is, what they have done with you and what to send them next. Mailpro’s CRM features are built around communication, so the step from knowing a customer to contacting them is short.

What Mailpro’s CRM features do

  • Central contact database. Import from spreadsheets, booking systems or your online store. Mailpro handles duplicates, and you can add as many custom fields as you need: parish, nationality, room preference, policy number, membership tier.
  • Tags and segments. Tag contacts as “returning guest”, “Crop Over 2026”, “corporate client” or “Welcome Stamp holder”, and build segments that update automatically.
  • History. See what each contact has opened, clicked or submitted through forms and surveys.
  • Action. Send an email or SMS, or start an automation, straight from a segment.
  • Integration. Connect your website, store or internal systems through the CRM API. See email API in Barbados.

How Barbadian businesses use it

Hospitality

A villa rental company tags guests by the month they stayed and whether they came for Crop Over, Christmas or the winter season. The next year, each group gets an offer timed to its own travel pattern.

Financial and professional services

A corporate-services provider in the international business sector segments clients by jurisdiction and service line. Only the relevant clients receive each regulatory update, and there is a record of who received what.

Retail and hospitality groups

A restaurant group merges contacts from three locations, removes duplicates, and sends each diner news from the venue they actually visit.

Associations and non-profits

Membership renewals, event registrations and donor communications run from one database instead of four spreadsheets.

Customer data under the Data Protection Act 2019

A CRM is a concentration of personal data, so the Act’s principles apply fully. Keep data accurate and up to date. Collect only what you need. Let people see, correct or delete their data when they ask. Protect it with appropriate security. If you use a cloud provider, the Act also restricts transfers outside Barbados to destinations with adequate protection or appropriate safeguards. Mailpro’s database is hosted in Switzerland, on private infrastructure outside US jurisdiction, and connections use TLS 1.3. Mailpro never sells or rents your data. The Act also expects a written contract between you and any data processor, so keep your service terms on file. More in email marketing law in Barbados.

Where to start

  1. List where your customer data lives today.
  2. Decide on five to ten fields and tags that would change what you send.
  3. Import one source at a time, and remove anyone without a lawful basis for marketing.
  4. Build one segment and send one targeted campaign.
