Many Belizean businesses keep customer information in several places: a spreadsheet at the front desk, a booking platform’s guest list, WhatsApp chats, a box of business cards from the last trade fair. Mailpro’s contact management brings the email and phone side of that into one place. You can then see who your customers are, where they come from and what they have responded to, and message them accordingly.
What Mailpro’s CRM features cover
A single contact record
Each contact holds a name, email, mobile number in international format, language, district or home country, and any custom fields you need, such as last stay, customer type or membership number. Contact management handles imports from spreadsheets and removes duplicates.
Tags and segments
Tag contacts as “returning guest”, “trade partner”, “wholesale” or “Spanish”, then build segments on any combination. A Belize City distributor can target hardware retailers in the Cayo District. A resort can target past guests from Canada who have not visited for two years.
Engagement history
Opens, clicks, form submissions and survey answers are recorded against each contact. That history tells you who is interested now, not only who was interested when they first signed up.
Integrations
If you already use a sales CRM, connect it rather than replacing it. Mailpro offers a Salesforce integration, links to hundreds of apps through Zapier, and an API for custom systems such as property-management or core-banking software.
How different sectors in Belize use it
- Hotels and tour operators: separate direct guests, travel-agent contacts and enquiries that did not book; follow each group with different automated emails.
- Retail and distribution: keep consumer and trade lists apart, and segment by town so each store promotes its own events.
- Financial and corporate services: keep client contact data organised and restricted to the staff who need it, with a clear record of who agreed to receive updates.
- Non-profits and associations: track members, donors and volunteers, and remind members when dues are due.
Built for Belize’s data protection rules
A contact base is exactly what Belize’s Data Protection Act, 2021 is designed to govern. Its principles require personal data to be accurate, kept no longer than necessary and protected against loss or misuse. Individuals can ask to see their data and can require you to stop direct marketing. A single, well-maintained contact base makes these requests much easier to handle than data scattered across spreadsheets and phones.
Mailpro stores contacts on its own infrastructure in Switzerland, outside US jurisdiction, encrypted in transit with TLS 1.3. Data is never sold or rented. Switzerland holds an EU adequacy decision, which is relevant if your list includes European clients or guests. Read more in why Switzerland.
Keeping the data clean
- Remove hard bounces automatically, and review contacts who have not opened anything for a year.
- Store phone numbers with the country code, so +501 and overseas numbers are never confused.
- Record where and when each person subscribed, so you can answer if someone asks how you got their address.
- Delete data you no longer need. The Act says personal data should not be kept longer than necessary.

New to the idea? Our explainer on what a CRM is covers the basics. Pricing depends on how many messages you send, not on how many contacts you store, so you can keep your whole history without paying for inactive contacts. See the pricing page for plans.
