A welcome email — sent automatically the moment a new contact joins your list — is the most engaging email you will ever send. Open rates routinely hit 50–80% (vs 20–25% for regular campaigns) because the recipient just chose to hear from you. It takes ten minutes to set up and pays off for years.

Why it matters: new subscribers are far more likely to engage with your second email if the first one arrives within minutes of signup. The welcome email also sets expectations: cadence, content, tone.

Build the automation in 4 steps

  1. Open Mes Automatisations from the left navigation, click Ajouter.
  2. Choose the trigger Abonnement / désabonnement à une liste and select the list to watch.
  3. Add a single email step (or a series of 2–3 emails spaced over days).
  4. Save and activate. The first welcome email goes out within seconds of the new contact confirming their subscription.

What to put in the email

Three things make a welcome email convert: a clear "you’re in" line, the value you promised at signup (lead magnet, promo code, guide), and one single call-to-action. Keep it short. Don’t try to fit everything you ever wanted to say.
