Yes. Pick the trigger Abonnement / désabonnement à une liste in Mes Automatisations. It fires the moment a contact joins (or leaves) a list you choose — whether the join happened through a form, an import, or a manual addition. Both directions are covered by the same trigger; you select which one to react to in the builder.

Key takeaway: one trigger handles both subscribe AND unsubscribe events on a list. Pick the direction in the workflow settings.

What counts as a "subscribe"

Any way a contact ends up in the target list fires the trigger: form submission with that list selected, CSV import that adds new rows to the list, manual addition from the contact screen, API call that joins the list, or another automation that uses the AddList action. The trigger does not distinguish the source — it watches the list membership change itself.

Subscribe vs unsubscribe in the same trigger

The trigger config asks "fire on subscribe" or "fire on unsubscribe". You can build a welcome workflow off the subscribe branch and a separate re-engagement or sayonara workflow off the unsubscribe branch — same trigger family, two different workflows. For the unsubscribe side, see how subscribers can unsubscribe.

Use cases

  • Welcome series — classic 3 emails over a week after signup.
  • Trial-end alert — an internal alert when someone joins your "Trial" list, so sales follows up.
  • Sayonara email — a polite "we’re sorry to see you go" after the unsubscribe, optionally with a feedback link.

Build a list-subscribe automation

Open Mes Automatisations, click Ajouter, choose the subscribe/unsubscribe trigger and start. See the triggers overview for the full picture.
