Use this template

This first aid quiz serves as the final assessment of a first aid training course. Ten questions, a 20-minute time limit, a single attempt and a 70% pass mark give trainers a clear and fair way to validate what participants have learned.

What does this first aid quiz evaluate?

The questions follow the logic of an emergency: securing the area, recognising an unresponsive person who is not breathing normally, the rate and depth of chest compressions, the recovery position, heavy bleeding, minor burns, choking, the use of a defibrillator and suspected neck injuries after a fall. Participants also give their name, email and the date and place of their session, so you can match each result to the right group. Correct answers are not revealed at the end, which keeps the first aid test valid for future sessions.

Who is it for?

  • First aid trainers and training organisations
  • Companies training their designated first aiders
  • Sports clubs, schools and youth organisations preparing volunteers
  • Event organisers checking the knowledge of their safety team

How to adapt it in Mailpro

Align each question with the guidelines taught in your course, edit the introduction and add your logo and colours. The quiz is graded automatically: you can change the pass mark, the timer and its warning, the number of attempts, and show results by score bands. Share it by link, by QR code projected in the training room or in a Mailpro email to participants; results arrive in Mailpro.

Tips

  • Have the first aid quiz questions checked by a qualified instructor and update them when official guidelines change.
  • Remind participants that this first aid assessment does not replace hands-on practice.
  • Give the assessment straight after the practical session, while everyone is still in the room.
  • Review wrong answers with the group afterwards, without sharing the answer key publicly.

Frequently asked questions

Does passing this first aid quiz make someone a certified first aider?

No. Certification depends on your training body and local regulations; the quiz is only one part of the evaluation.

Can I use these first aid exam questions with children?

The content is written for adults. For young people, simplify the wording and focus on raising the alarm and basic actions.

Why allow only one attempt?

For a final evaluation, a single attempt ensures the result reflects real knowledge. For practice, you can allow more attempts.
