Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a small market with a long reach. The home audience is compact: DataReportal counted a population of about 99,800 in its Digital 2026 report, with 76.0% of people online and active mobile connections equal to 105% of the population (DataReportal, 2026). But the people a Vincentian business wants to talk to are spread much further: villa guests who booked from London or New York, charter clients who sailed the Tobago Cays last season, and family abroad in Toronto, New York and London who still send barrels home and book flights into Argyle every Christmas.

Email is the channel that ties those audiences together. You own the list, nobody’s algorithm decides who sees your message, and a single campaign can speak to a guesthouse regular in Bequia and a returning national in Canada at the same time. Mailpro gives you the tools to do that without an enterprise budget.

Who uses email marketing in SVG

  • Tourism and yachting: resorts, villas on Mustique and Canouan, dive shops, day-sail operators and charter bases in the Grenadines use newsletters to fill the shoulder months and bring past guests back. Our tourism email marketing page covers the playbook.
  • Credit unions, banks and insurers in Kingstown send statements, rate changes and member notices where accuracy and privacy matter as much as design.
  • Agriculture and agro-processing: exporters of arrowroot, bananas and fresh produce keep buyers in the region informed about harvests, shipping windows and prices.
  • Retailers, restaurants and event promoters who live by the calendar: Carnival, Easter in Bequia, Independence and the Nine Mornings run-up to Christmas.
  • Schools, churches and NGOs that need to reach parents, members and overseas donors cheaply and reliably.

What the rules look like here

There is no Vincentian law written specifically for marketing email, and no local opt-in regime of the kind Canada or the EU apply. The Cybercrime Act 2016 does make it an offence to send bulk email designed to disguise where it came from, or to falsify message headers, and the Privacy Act 2003 has been reported as not yet in force. That is not a licence to send to anyone. Many of your recipients live under stricter laws, such as GDPR for European villa guests or CASL for the diaspora in Canada, and mailbox providers like Gmail filter unwanted mail regardless of local law. Our guide to email marketing law in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines explains the practical, consent-first approach.

Timing for an Atlantic-time market

SVG runs on Atlantic Standard Time (UTC−4) all year, with no daylight saving. In the northern summer you share a clock with New York and Toronto; in winter you are an hour ahead of them, and four to five hours behind London. If a large part of your list is overseas, schedule sends for their morning, not yours. Mailpro lets you schedule email sending in advance, so a campaign written in Kingstown at night can land in a Toronto inbox at breakfast.

A campaign calendar that is recognisably Vincentian

  • January to April: peak visitor season in the Grenadines, National Heroes Day on 14 March, and the Bequia Easter Regatta.
  • June to early July: Vincy Mas, building up to J’ouvert and Mardi Gras on Carnival Monday and Tuesday.
  • 1 June to 30 November: Atlantic hurricane season. Keep an up-to-date list so you can send closure notices and reopening news quickly.
  • 27 October: Independence Day, a natural moment for heritage stories and diaspora offers.
  • 16 to 24 December: Nine Mornings, followed by Christmas and returning-national travel.

What you can do with Mailpro

Build newsletters without code. Start from more than 600 newsletter templates or drag and drop your own layout, then create newsletters that read well on the phones most Vincentians use to get online.

Automate the routine. Welcome emails, birthday greetings, pre-arrival information and post-stay thank-yous can run on their own with automated emails.

Add SMS for the urgent. A ferry schedule change, a storm closure or a same-day event update belongs in a text message. Mailpro’s SMS marketing works alongside your email lists, to +1-784 numbers and abroad.

Collect contacts and feedback. Sign-up forms, booking enquiries and guest surveys feed straight into your lists, with consent recorded at the moment of sign-up.

Connect your systems. Developers can send transactional email through our API or an authenticated SMTP relay, for booking confirmations, invoices and password resets.

Why a Swiss-hosted platform makes sense from SVG

Mailpro has been built and run by Maxony in Geneva since 2001. Your contact data is hosted in Switzerland on private infrastructure, outside US jurisdiction, and it is never sold or rented. Connections are encrypted with TLS 1.3, and the platform is designed around GDPR, which matters when your list includes European guests. Switzerland also benefits from an EU adequacy decision. You can read more about why Switzerland is our home.

Two more things suit a small, seasonal market. Pricing is based on the emails you send, not the number of contacts you store, so a large list of past guests does not cost you money in the quiet months. And every account starts with 500 free credits, enough to test a real campaign before you pay anything. In Mailpro’s own customer survey, users rated email deliverability 9.6/10, SMS deliverability 9.8/10 and ease of use 9.3/10.

Language and tone

English is the official language of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, so most campaigns need only one version. Tone is another matter. A warm, conversational style that sounds like a person from the business usually works better than stiff corporate language, both at home and with visitors who fell for the islands’ informality. If some of your guests speak French, German or Italian, Mailpro’s interface and tools are available in six languages, and a short translated summary can make a returning guest feel remembered.

Getting started

Import your existing contacts, check where each one came from, and send a short re-permission email to anyone you are unsure about. Then plan three campaigns around the next dates on the calendar above. Small, consistent sends to people who want to hear from you will do more for your business than one large blast.
