Two-factor authentication (2FA) protects your Mailpro account by asking for a one-time code from an authenticator app every time you sign in. Even if someone steals your password, they still can’t get in without your phone.

What you need: A smartphone with an authenticator app installed (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy or any TOTP-compatible app). See what a two-factor authenticator is.

Step-by-step: enable 2FA

  1. Sign in to Mailpro and open My Account → Security.
  2. Click Enable two-factor authentication. A QR code is displayed.
  3. Open your authenticator app, choose add account and scan the QR code.
  4. Type the 6-digit code shown by the app to confirm and finish activation.
  5. Save the recovery codes in a safe place — they let you sign in if you lose your phone.

Signing in with 2FA enabled

From now on, after entering your password, Mailpro asks for the 6-digit code from your authenticator app. Codes refresh every 30 seconds.

Lost your phone? Use one of the recovery codes you saved to sign in, then re-enable 2FA on a new device. If you don’t have a recovery code, contact Mailpro support to verify your identity. See do I need my phone for 2FA.

Why turn it on

2FA is the single most effective protection against stolen passwords. Mailpro accounts hold subscriber data, sender reputation and billing details — protecting access protects your whole email program. More info on double authentication.

Enable 2FA in under two minutes

Open My Account → Security, scan the QR code with your authenticator app and store the recovery codes. Your account is protected from the next sign-in onward.
