Many Grenadian hotels, resorts and export brands work with a designer or agency, in Grenada or overseas, who builds their emails in HTML. Mailpro lets you bring that code in, check it and send it, while keeping the same list management, reporting and consent tools as everyone else.
Two ways to work with HTML
Import your own code
Paste or upload an HTML file with HTML import, or pull a design from a web address. Mailpro keeps your layout and lets you add tracking, personalisation fields and the unsubscribe link.
Let the editor write the HTML
If you do not code, the drag-and-drop builder and the WYSIWYG editor produce clean, email-safe HTML for you. You can still open the code view to make small changes.
Coding tips for your Grenadian audience
- Mobile first. Most local readers are on phones. Use a single-column layout, text of at least 14px and buttons large enough to tap. Mailpro’s responsive templates are a good base.
- Light images. Mobile data and connection quality vary, especially outside St. George’s and on the sister islands. Compress photos and avoid heavy animated GIFs.
- Alt text. Some email apps block images by default. Describe each image so the email still makes sense: “Sunset over Grand Anse Beach” rather than “image1”.
- Live text, not text in images. Prices in EC$ and US$, dates and offers should be real text so they display, translate and remain accessible.
- Dark mode. Test how your logo and colours look when the reader’s phone is in dark mode.
Show prices clearly
Grenada uses the Eastern Caribbean dollar (XCD), while many visitors think in US dollars. If you quote prices, say which currency you mean, and consider showing both for overseas audiences. Clear pricing reduces replies asking “is that EC or US?”.
Test before every send
Send test emails to the addresses you use most, on Android and iPhone, and on a desktop client. Check that links point to the right pages, that the footer shows your business name and address, and that the unsubscribe link works. These footer elements are also expected under rules such as CAN-SPAM when you mail readers in the United States.
Personalise the code
Insert merge fields for first name, island or membership type anywhere in your HTML. See newsletter personalisation for the options, and our guide to personalised newsletters in Grenada for ideas.
Start with a template if you prefer
Not every campaign needs custom code. More than 600 ready-made templates are available, and each can be edited in HTML if you want to fine-tune it.
Working with an agency
If an agency in Grenada or abroad codes your emails, agree a few ground rules: they supply tested, email-safe HTML; they keep text as live text; they include alt text; and they leave the footer area for your address and unsubscribe link. You can then import each new design into Mailpro, check it, and send it to the right segment yourself.
Keep a reusable base template
Once you have a design that works, save it as your base template, with your header, colours, footer and address, so each new issue starts from a tested layout. Only the content in the middle changes.
Your designs and contact lists are stored in Switzerland on private infrastructure, outside US jurisdiction, protected by TLS 1.3. For the other ways to build an email, return to creating newsletters in Grenada.
