A graded quiz, without grading by hand

Grading dozens of papers takes hours. With the Mailpro quiz maker, every question carries its correct answer and its points: the score is calculated on submission, on our servers, and the correct answers are never sent to the participant’s browser. You set a pass mark, participants see their result, and you follow everyone in one place.

Which questions are graded?

Almost all of them. Each question type has its own way of recognizing a correct answer.

Question typeHow the answer is graded
Single choice, dropdownOne correct answer among the choices
CheckboxesSeveral correct answers, all-or-nothing or partial scoring
Short textOne or more accepted answers, ignoring case and accents if you wish
Number, scaleExpected value; for a number, with a tolerance margin
MatrixOne correct answer per row, points per row
Long textGraded by hand: you award the points from the answer
Scoring

Points and a pass mark

Each question has its points, and a wrong answer can take some away. On checkbox questions, scoring is all-or-nothing or partial. The pass mark is set as a percentage or in points.

Result

A clear score at the end of the quiz

On submission, participants see their score and a different message depending on whether they passed or not. You can also hide the score if the quiz is an assessment.

Correction

Show the correction at the right time

Never, right after submitting, or only after closing: you decide when participants discover the correct answers. Add a timer with an alert before the end, an opening date, and shuffle the question order.

After the quiz

The result follows the participant

The score is saved in the contact record, a “passed” or “failed” tag is applied, and a different result email is sent depending on the outcome. Your next campaigns go straight to those who passed, or to those who need to revise.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Can a question have several correct answers?
Yes. On a checkbox question, tick all the correct answers and choose the scoring: all or nothing, or partial. On a short-text question, list every accepted answer.
Can the score go into the contact record?
Yes. The score is saved in the contact field of your choice, and a “passed” or “failed” tag can be applied automatically. You can then target your next campaigns based on the result.
Can I set a time limit?
Yes. The timer sets the quiz duration in minutes and can warn participants a few minutes before the end. You can also set an opening date and time.
Do participants need an account?
No. They open the link or scan the QR code and answer directly. For an exam reserved for certain people, access can be limited to a contact list or protected by a password.
Can I grade an open answer by hand?
Yes. Long-text questions are graded by hand: you open the answer and award the points; the participant’s score is recalculated.
Do participants see the correct answers?
You decide: never, right after submitting, or only once the quiz closes, so answers don’t circulate while it is open.
