Two evaluations, two moments

The post-training evaluation captures the participant’s opinion while the training is fresh; the follow-up evaluation checks, a few weeks later, what they have done with it. Both are built with Mailpro surveys and emailed to the list of each session. They help training providers document the collection of participant feedback that quality standards often require.

Questions

Questions that are easy to answer

Stars, scales, a 0 to 10 recommendation, a matrix to rate the trainer on several criteria, free text: every question is answered with one tap, on a phone too. A condition shows “What was missing?” only when the rating is low.

Sending

Sent to the participants of each session

One contact list per session and an email campaign with the survey link: the participant’s email is already filled in, and a hidden field records the session. For the follow-up evaluation, schedule the campaign for the right date.

Reminders

Remind only those who haven’t answered

Each answer applies a tag to the participant’s record. A segment “session list, without the tag” gives you those who are missing: a reminder bothers only them.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

What should a post-training evaluation ask?
Overall satisfaction, whether objectives were met, the content, the trainer, the organization and the recommendation, plus one open question. Keep it to 5 to 10 questions: participants should be able to answer in under five minutes.
When should I send the follow-up evaluation?
Usually one to three months later: late enough for participants to have applied what they learned, early enough for them to remember it. Schedule the campaign as soon as the session ends so you don’t forget.
Can answers be anonymous?
You can make them non-identifying: don’t ask for a name or email and don’t link the form to contact records. You then can’t remind only those who haven’t answered; remind the whole list and tell those who already replied to ignore the message.
How do I prove collection during an audit?
Keep the form, the report of the email campaign (date, recipients, opens) and the dated Excel export of the answers. They show what you asked, to whom, when, and what was answered. What remains is to show what you did with it: analysis and improvement actions.
Can I compare results by session?
Yes, in two ways: duplicate the form for each session, or keep one form with a hidden “session” field filled in by the email link. The session column in the Excel export then lets you compare.
Do participants need an account?
No. They open the email link or scan the QR code and answer directly, on a computer or a phone.
