Wedding and honeymoon planning is one of Saint Lucia’s specialities, and enquiries arrive from all over the world at all hours. A good enquiry form captures what a planner needs to reply well, the first time. We will build one step by step; the same method works for any form.

Step 1: Decide what you need to know

List the questions you would ask on the phone, then cut any you can ask later. For a wedding enquiry:

  • Names and email address (required).
  • Phone number with country code (optional).
  • Preferred date or month, and flexibility.
  • Number of guests.
  • Setting: beach, garden, chapel, view of the Pitons.
  • Budget range.
  • Anything else they want to tell you.

Step 2: Build the form

In Mailpro, go to forms and create a new form. Drag in the fields you listed. Use a date field for the wedding date, a dropdown for the setting, and a number field for guests. Mark only the essentials as required.

Step 3: Add logic

If a couple chooses “beach”, you might ask whether they want a sunset ceremony. If they say more than 50 guests, you might ask about accommodation blocks. Branching logic keeps the form short for everyone else.

Under Saint Lucia’s Data Protection Act 2011, collection should be fair and for a stated purpose. Add a line such as: “We use these details to reply to your enquiry. See our privacy notice.” Then add a separate, unticked box: “Send me wedding inspiration and offers by email.” Many enquirers are in the EU, the UK, the US or Canada, where consent rules are stricter; one clear box satisfies all of them. For the subscription side, see our guide to subscription forms.

Step 5: Brand and test

Add your logo, colours and a photo of your ceremony setting. Test on a phone: can you complete it with one thumb, on a slow connection? Submit a test entry and check the confirmation email.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Asking for a full postal address when you only need the country.
  • Making the phone number required: many international enquirers prefer email.
  • Using a free-text field for the date, which produces a dozen formats.
  • Forgetting to test the confirmation email on a phone.

Step 6: Share and connect

  • Embed it on your wedding page.
  • Link it from Instagram and in your email signature.
  • Print a QR code for bridal fairs abroad and for the resort lobby.

Mailpro’s sharing options provide the link, embed code and QR code. Responses can sync with your contact list, so each enquirer can receive an automated reply with your brochure, and couples who opted in join your newsletter.
