Mailpro’s reports are available in your account, but many organisations want the numbers where they already work: a management dashboard, a data warehouse or a CRM. The Mailpro API lets you download campaign statistics, including opens and clicks by country, and track the delivery status of individual transactional messages. For Jamaican businesses with audiences on the island and abroad, that geographic breakdown is especially useful.
What you can retrieve
- Opens for a campaign: how many recipients opened, when, and from which countries.
- Clicks: which links were clicked, how often and from where.
- Delivery status of each transactional email: queued, sent, delivered, deferred or bounced.
- Events via webhooks: notifications pushed to your system when a message is delivered or bounces, or a new contact subscribes.
The same data also appears in your account’s campaign reports and global statistics.
Why country data matters for Jamaican senders
A typical Jamaican list mixes local customers with Jamaicans in the US, Canada and the UK and with international visitors. Bank of Jamaica data shows how strong those ties are: in May 2025, the US accounted for 68.2 percent of remittance inflows, the UK 11.5 percent and Canada 9.6 percent (Bank of Jamaica Remittance Bulletin, May 2025). Opens and clicks by country, pulled through the API and combined with geo-tracking, show whether your diaspora and visitor audiences behave differently from local readers, and let you plan content and send times accordingly.
Example dashboards
Tourism marketing
A resort group combines API data with booking data to see which source markets open winter-offer campaigns and which convert, so it can adjust the calendar before the next season.
Retail and e-commerce
An online store compares click rates on Christmas campaigns from island customers and overseas buyers, then shows the results to the whole team each week.
Financial services
A credit union tracks delivery status for statement-ready notifications and flags members whose messages bounce, so staff can update their email addresses at the next branch visit.
Handling statistics responsibly
Engagement data linked to individual contacts is personal data under Jamaica’s Data Protection Act, 2020. When you copy it into another system, the same obligations follow: keep it secure, limit access to those who need it, don’t keep it longer than necessary and don’t use it for unrelated purposes. Aggregate data by country or campaign where individual detail isn’t needed. Remember too that some email clients, including Apple Mail with privacy protection enabled, can inflate open counts, so give more weight to clicks and conversions.
Getting started
Generate API credentials in your Mailpro account, read the developer documentation below and start with one report, such as opens and clicks by country for your last campaign. Once that works, automate the import on a schedule. For an overview of the API itself, see email API in Jamaica.
Documentation and resources for developers
All the technical documentation of the Mailpro APIs lives on the developer portal: Email API v2, CRM API v3 and SMS API, described endpoint by endpoint (OpenAPI), in English and five other languages.
