Your tracking domain (for example hello.yourdomain.com) carries every link in your campaigns. Domain blacklists (Spamhaus, URIBL, SURBL) record domains seen in unwanted emails. Gmail, Outlook and most mailbox providers check them: as long as your domain is listed, part of your emails may be rejected or sent to spam.

Check your domain

Enter your domain (without hello. or https://) on each of these sites:

Get it removed

  1. First find the cause. Most often: sending to contacts who never asked for your emails, a purchased or old list, or a link to a website that is itself flagged.
  2. Fix it before requesting removal: a list is less willing to remove a domain a second time.
  3. Request removal on the website of the list that listed you. It is free; never pay a service that promises "delisting".

How long does it take?

Usually 8 to 48 hours after your request, depending on the list. URIBL reviews requests by hand, which can take a little longer.

In the meantime

Your campaigns keep going out, but we suggest pausing your sendings until your domain has been removed. There is nothing to report to us: our daily check sees the removal on its own.

Keep it from happening again

  • Only write to contacts who asked for your messages (double opt-in if possible).
  • Remove those who have not opened anything for 6 months.
  • Never import a purchased or old list.
  • Do not use link shorteners or links to dubious websites.

Reminder: our terms and conditions forbid sending to contacts who have not given their consent.
