A campaign that performs well in Grenada is usually short, local and well timed. This checklist walks through each stage, with examples drawn from the island’s own calendar and industries.

1. Know who you are writing to

Before you write a word, decide which group the campaign is for. A dive centre in Morne Rouge might have three very different lists: past guests abroad, cruise-ship passengers who booked once, and local residents who take courses. Use segments so each group gets a message that fits, instead of sending everyone the same general update.

2. Give people a reason to open

Subject lines of around five to eight words tend to display fully on phones. Be specific and concrete: “Spicemas weekend: rooms left in St. George’s” says more than “Big news!”. Add the reader’s first name or town with personalisation where it helps, and see our tips on writing subject lines.

3. Keep one goal per email

Each campaign should ask for one action: book, order, register or reply. Put that action in a clear button near the top with the button builder, and repeat it once lower down. If you have three announcements, consider three short emails over a few weeks instead.

4. Design for small screens and slower connections

Many readers open email on a phone, and connection quality can vary between St. George’s, the rural parishes and the sister islands. Compress images, avoid huge banners, and make sure the email still makes sense with images turned off. Mailpro’s responsive newsletters adapt automatically to the screen.

5. Match your campaigns to the Grenadian calendar

  • January and February: high season for visitors, and Independence Day on 7 February for patriotic and diaspora campaigns.
  • April and May: Easter, then the Grenada Chocolate Festival for cocoa and food businesses.
  • Late July to mid-August: the Carriacou Regatta Festival on the first weekend of August and Spicemas, which peaks on the second Monday and Tuesday of August.
  • June to November: hurricane season, when service and opening updates matter more than promotions.
  • October to December: Thanksgiving on 25 October, then Christmas shopping and year-end travel.

6. Send at the right hour

Grenada stays on Atlantic Standard Time all year. Test different send times for your local list, and schedule a separate send for guests in North America or Europe so the email arrives during their morning. Mailpro lets you schedule each campaign to the minute.

Only email people who agreed to hear from you, and make unsubscribing simple. This protects your reputation with mailbox providers and keeps you aligned with the rules that apply to your foreign recipients, such as CAN-SPAM in the US and CASL in Canada. See how to get permission to email for practical wording.

8. Read the results and adjust

Open the campaign report a day or two after sending. Look at which links were clicked, which segments responded best and how many addresses bounced. Change one thing at a time, such as the subject line, send time or offer, so you know what made the difference. Over a season, these small changes add up.

When you are ready, go back to the email campaign overview to see how Mailpro brings these steps together.
